About Me

- Born in Switzerland I spent my primary and high school years in this country. Later I studied Slavic lanugages and literature at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany and worked 5 years at the International Youth Library in that city. In 1979 I moved to Toronto, Canada, and in 1989 took a Masters in Library and Information Science at the University of Western Ontario.

I love the BBC, it's a different point of view. I especially enjoy the 'have your say' section.
I look forward to more posts on this site. I am not a librarian, but I ama regular library attendee and I happen to be a multilingual mum raising a quadrilingual kid, therefore all developments in multilingual material available in libraries is of interest to me!
